We invite your organization to join our efforts in Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math (STEM). A few options for involvement include:
1) Join the STEM Advisory Council. Meeting dates: May 21, 2012, Sept. 18, 2012, & April, 2013 at the LIU, 65 Billerbeck St. New Oxford from 9 - 11 a.m. To register for the May 21st meeting click on this link Advisory Council Registration;
2) Loan equipment for teachers and students to experience college and career STEM during their professional development or at the STEM Solutions Fair;
3) Serve as a mentor for a day at the professional development training or STEM Solutions Fair;
4) Adopt-a-teacher to cover the school district’s substitute teacher cost when teachers attend professional development and the STEM Solutions Fair;
5) Provide a “bus pass” to cover district expenses of transporting students & teachers to the STEM Solutions Fair;
6) Donate supplies or food for the STEM Solutions Fair;
7) Showcase your STEM business, industry, or college courses at the STEM Solutions Fair;
8) Ask about our STEM Design Challenge for 9-12 year olds in June;
9) Share this information with another business, industry, or higher education leader;
10) Become a sponsor.
